Who do I treat

Anyone apart from very young children

How do I treat

I am a "Structural" Osteopath and this means that your treatment will normally consist of some or all of the following :- massage, stretching, moving various joints, joint manipulation (where the joints are made to "pop"), ultrasound, manual traction. You will normally be given specific advice on the need for rest, exercise, medication, the use of ice packs. Sometimes some aspect of your lifestyle may need to be modified and advice about your posture may also be given.
Please note that I do not use "Cranial" (or Cranio-Sacral) treatment, nor do I use "Applied Kinesiology".

What will happen on your first visit

A full description of your problem will be taken, then details of your past medical history (if any), followed by an examination (you may be asked to get undressed down to your underwear) including medical tests where necessary. Assuming there are no contra-indications you will usually receive a full treatment on the first visit. Please note that is quite common for patients to feel some discomfort during the following 24/48 hours.
